Tomahawks Sponsor First Annual Antwan Kirk-Hughes Lineman Camp

The WYAA is proud to announce that we are partnering with Antwan Kirk-Hughes, former UT Longhorn, to bring an annual lineman clinic to the youth of Waxahachie.

Kirk-Hughes played high school football at Waxahachie High and was a three year starter. During his time at WHS, he was 1st team All District all three years, 1st team All State his Senior year, USA Today All American and a Parade All American! He was in Mel Kiper's top five lineman list in 1998. He was also listed as the #5 recruit nationaly and the #1 recruit in the state of Texas. He chose to go to the University of Texas where he was a three year starter. During his time as a Longhorn, he received Big 12 Honors and was part of the front line that blocked for Heisman winner Ricky Williams. 

Kirk-Hughes also coached high school football in Hobbs, New Mexico from 2003 to 2006, where he was the O-line and D-line coach. He was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach, as well as the Shot and Discus Coach for the track team. Kirk-Hughes has since moved back to Waxahachie and is now a personal trainer, writer and personal instructor for youth football players. You can find his book, Ramblings of a Sinner, on
